DollarDollar were a highly successful British pop vocal duo formed in London in 1978 by singers David Van Day and Thereza Bazar. Having previously performed together in the vocal group Guys ‘n’ Dolls, they quickly established themselves as a striking visual and musical partnership. They achieved a string of major UK hits, including the catchy tracks “Shooting Star” and “Who Were You With in the Dark”. Their commercial peak arrived in the early 1980s through a brilliant collaboration with producer Trevor Horn, which yielded polished, futuristic synth-pop classics like “Mirror Mirror” and “Give Me Back My Heart” before their eventual split.
