John LennonJohn Lennon (1940–1980) was a legendary English singer, songwriter, and peace activist who co-founded The Beatles, the most influential band in popular music history. Alongside Paul McCartney, he formed one of the most successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century, driving global “Beatlemania” with hits like “Help!” and “Strawberry Fields Forever.”

As a solo artist, Lennon became a counterculture icon, releasing enduring anthems of peace, most notably “Imagine.” He was celebrated for his rebellious nature, wit, and political activism. Tragically, his life was cut short when he was assassinated in New York City at age 40.
