T’PauT’Pau is a prominent English pop-rock band formed in Shropshire in 1986. Led by the distinctive, powerful vocals of Carol Decker and co-written with guitarist Ronnie Rogers, the group took their unique name from a Vulcan high priestess in Star Trek. They achieved massive global success with their 1987 debut single, “Heart and Soul,” which became a top-five hit in both the US and the UK. Their subsequent power ballad, “China in Your Hand,” spent five weeks at number one in the UK, propelling their debut album, Bridge of Spies, to quadruple-platinum status.
